Nomadic waltzes, Country marches, Nomadic Folk-Rock instrumentals sway and soar from fragments of influences and instrumentation.
“Skate Country Slow Dance” reflects the immersive feeling of taking a road trip through the rolling hills of Kentucky & the Smoky Mountains of Tennessee with pitstops in obscure small towns and unexpected detours along the way.

The music features musicians from Toronto, Nashville, Argentina and other locations blending global flavours with the cinematic and deep roots in Bluegrass, acoustic Country, Nomadic Folk-Rock, etc.

'Longing for Shore' is a Nashville-inspired crossover instrumental written on guzheng - joined by fiddle, bass, piano & drums.

This is fringe music that dances close to alt-Country with an overarching cinematic Sea Shanty feel.

“Longing for Shore” was the first song written for a new band project, and really set the cast for the rest of the tracks that followed on an upcoming album. Sait has been entrenched in the Toronto new music, improvised music scene for the past two decades, so composing “songs” felt like an extremely liberating change of pace.

Featured on the first single is an incredible Nashville fiddler named Adam Haynes. He inherently understood the feel from the inside out. “It felt like we had a great musical chemistry from this first performance together. His fiddle soars, really bringing the song to life. Adam and I recorded several other cuts from the album in the months to follow, all spawning from the energy of that initial connection”. Staying true to the source, the upcoming album features many other great Nashville session musicians throughout, collaborating with Sait’s distinct guzheng approach.

"The richness of the mood evokes a lovely wistful quality... we hope it gets the attention it deserves" - VARIOUS SMALL FLAMES (UK)

"This was such a beautiful piece of music - appreciate the musicianship and the talent" - Boris, STEROFOX (Germany)

"I feel the epic vibe of this and the world music kind of sonority mixed with alt country. Overall I enjoyed listening to it. Big cheer from Portugal!" - José Baptista Coelho of WHERE THE MUSIC MEETS

"refreshingly different/creative instrumentation and melody. Strong violin." - INDIE OBSESSIVE

"A moody blend of classic folk and alt country, really quite well produced and it has a nice instrumental touch" - WE ALL WANT SOMEONE TO SHOUT FOR

This performance includes a spontaneous moment of silence for ~40 seconds. The performers all stopped, and the audience held that silence with them. It was a very special moment!
